Kalu Rinpoche, at the doors to KSK Stupa in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is the reincarnation of a Tibetan teacher of the Kagyu lineage who passed away in 1989. He was known as a great meditater, and an eminent lama of the 20th century. Rinpoche means teacher or precious one.
